Okay, so let’s be clear about this: being a parent is about the hardest, most crazy-making thing you can do. Most of us had no idea what the job entails before we applied, and by the time we found out it was too late to go back. What's more, through an extraordinary shortfall in the current legal system we can divorce any number of annoying husbands or wives, but we can’t divorce our children.
Go figure?
I can’t change the current laws, but hopefully there are some things here that might help to make the job a little easier. I’m going to be adding to this page on a regular basis so do pop back.
World Went Wonky: is a website that was created as a result of both admiration and concern for the children and families that have been living in Canterbury, New Zealand, during the earthquakes, their aftermath, and the on-going recovery process. World Went Wonky will provide you with some helpful resources, a free children's e-book (When Super Billy's World Went Wonky), as well as stories from parents, grandparents and caregivers and how they are helping their children feel safe after such an event.

The BBC's Dinosaur World
If you have kids who like dinosaurs then they're going to love this.
It's a really cool interactive Dinosaur world produced by the BBC (the people who made "Walking with Dinosaurs") and it is great. You can walk around a 3D dinosaur world and learn all kinds of things about the big beasties as you go.
Make sure you stand right in front of the Allosaur and turn the sound up loud!
My six year old thinks it is absolutely brilliant. It's not small (20mb) so you'll need broadband to download it. Even on dialup it's worth the wait.
